Musa Ibrahim (Bengali: মুসা ইব্রাহীম) is a Bangladeshi mountaineer and a journalist by profession. He is the first Bangladeshi to reach the summit of Mount Everest.[2][3][4][5][6] According to Musa, he reached the summit around 6:00am BST on May 23, 2010. Arranger of the expedition Iswari Paudel and Musa Ibrahim's wife confirmed the news at first hand.[7][8] The Sun reported that a Scottish climber Stephen Green found Ibrahim unconscious several hundred meters from the summit, on his way down, as Green was descending from his summit attempt.[9]
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Leader of the Opposition Begum Khaleda Zia have congratulated Musa upon hearing news of his conquest of Mount Everest.[10]
Musa Ibrahim is the General Secretary of North Alpine Club Bangladesh, a Bangladeshi mountaineering club and also serves as the sub-editor of The Daily Star.

Musa Ibrahim attained his Bachelor of Education(B.Ed) degree on Science Education and Master of Education(M.Ed) degree on Educational Evaluation and Research from 'Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of Dhaka.[11] He also attained a degree on Disaster Management from BRAC University. Musa Ibrahim was a student of Thakurgaon Sugar Mills High School during 1983 to 1994.
Musa Ibrahim is the second child of his parents. His father's name is Ansar Ali and mother's name is Bilkis Begum. His elder sister is Noor Ayesha, UN employee and younger brother is Shoeb Harun, studying in Sydney, Australia. He got married in January 2007 to Ummey Sharaban Tahura, Assistant Judge. Their only son is Wasi Ibrahim Raiid. [1]
On May 23, 2010 Musa Ibrahim reached the summit around 6am & holds the National Flag of Bangladesh on the top of Everest.
Musa reached the summit of world 4th highest mountain in 13th September 2011, with his team member Niaz Morshed Patwary.
